Source: Date:2025年03月19日

Recently, the Lubumbashi-Likasi road rehabilitation project (95.115 km) in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), undertaken by China Railway Seventh Group, successfully passed the final acceptance inspection conducted by a team comprising the DRC National Major Projects Bureau, Lualaba Provincial Reconstruction Department, Bridge and Road Bureau, Highway Bureau, and the DRC Toll Station Management Company.

The acceptance team conducted an on-site inspection of the completed road, thoroughly examining its appearance, smoothness, durability, and drainage system. They also reviewed the materials used during construction to ensure compliance with relevant standards and contractual requirements. Additionally, the team meticulously examined test reports from the construction process, including key indicators such as concrete compressive strength and mortar consistency. Following a comprehensive review, the team unanimously concluded that the project demonstrated a high level of design professionalism, strict adherence to construction procedures, outstanding workmanship, and top-tier engineering quality, fully showcasing China Railway Seventh Group’s construction capabilities.

This project connects the cities of Lubumbashi and Likasi and is a crucial section of National Highway 1 in the DRC. It also serves as a vital transportation corridor for the import of materials and export of mineral products in the country’s southeastern mining provinces.
