On February 17th, local time, China Railway Seventh Group has initiated the surface clearing operation for the 18.5-kilometer road project in Sabah State, Malaysia, marking the official commencement of the project.

The project is located near Tawau City in Sabah, Malaysia, with the starting point 125 kilometers from Tawau and the endpoint 30.3 kilometers from Nabawan. The total length is 18.5 kilometers. The construction involves upgrading the existing two-lane road to a four-lane dual carriageway. The base layer will consist of 46 centimeters of graded crushed stone, while the surface will use 11 centimeters of AC28 base layer and 5 centimeters of AC20 top layer asphalt concrete.

This road upgrade will not only improve local logistics efficiency and promote agricultural development but also enhance the convenience of commuting and travel for local residents, improving their quality of life. Additionally, it will strengthen the connections between towns along the road, boosting overall economic development in the region.
